The company was founded by Pete and Claude Debbink in 1957 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and was known as Metal Structures Incorporated, or MSI General for short. Claude died in 1962, leaving Pete to carry on the family business. In 1972 the name was changed to MSI General Corporation and the design/build services were extended beyond metal structures to traditional buildings within the industrial markets. In 1970, MSI General moved to our current location in Nashotah, just east of Oconomowoc. Dirk J. Debbink, Pete's son, joined the firm in 1983. He served as president from October 1991 to May 2007 and currently is Chairman. Craig Coursin took over as president on June 1st 2007. See the news page for more information about Craig.

MSI General Corporation has an outstanding reputation for designing and building facilities which exceed customers' expectations.
